Fyzio fitness deals with the quality of movement and the correction / optimization of movement patterns in ‘non-athletes’ and all types of athletes, from holiday to professional athletes. The goal is to enhance mid-body activation, balance imbalances, injury prevention, or post-injury rehabilitation, as well as prevention or rehabilitation of generational problems such as multiple back pain, disc herniation, or diastasis.
Initial examination:
The initial examination starts with a short introduction to patient’s current injury/issues/concerns etc. If patient have injury causing pain we will use special tests to diagnose the damaged structure or assure about previously stated diagnoses. Every consultation will also include postural analysis (limitation in posture) and FMS testing (Functional Movement Screening). This testing will help us to recognise vested moving patterns which might lead to the current injury or in prehab phase could help to limit possible injuries caused by repeating of these patterns.
Based on these informations the therapist will recommend further steps to achieve client’s goal.
Further Rehabilitation:
Rehabilitation itself will be based on the previous examination and will be planned individually for each client. These sessions are taking into account stage of injury, and current state of the client. Rehabilitation session can also include electrotherapy equipment such as NMES (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation), EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation), K-taping, soft tissue techniques, mobilization techniques, etc.
In terms of prevention (prehab):
– we will teach you what not to miss during exercises you doing on daily bases
– we will show you what exercises to focus in addition to your training
– we will show you suitable stretching to achieve the results you need
