The professional InBody 230 is one of the most accurate devices available for body composition analysis.
It measures on the principle of segmental multifrequency bioelectrical impedance using two different frequencies on each of the five segments (left upper limb, right upper limb, torso, left lower limb, right lower limb). This also reveals possible muscle imbalances and helps to better target your goal.
By analyzing the body composition on the InBody device, we find out:
- Total body weight and BMI
- Skeletal muscle mass (SMM)
- The amount of fat in the body
- Percentage of body fat
- The total amount of water in the body
- Waist to Hips Ratio (WHR)
- Minimal caloric requirement (basal metabolism)
- Segmental analysis of fat and fat-free mass of individual parts of the body
- The amount of visceral fat
The device also evaluates how many kilograms of muscle and fat it is appropriate to gain or reduce. It also provides information on the recommended daily calorie intake and presents an exercise plan.
Regular measurements on InBody are important because it gives us feedback on the change in body composition when adjusting eating habits and physical activity. It serves to compile a more accurate diet and evaluates whether there are any health risks associated with a high or low percentage of fat. Last but not least, it suggests if your training is effective.
